Laminated Veneer Lumber LVL
Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL)

LVL is an engineered wood product consisting of multiple thin layers of wood or veneers laminated together with exterior grade adhesives.

LVL offers several advantages over typical dimensional lumber: It is straighter, stronger and more uniform. Due to the composite nature, LVL is much less likely than conventional lumber to warp, twist, bow, or shrink.

Typical uses include roof and floor beams, as well as lintels/headers.

Our designers will review your plans or situational specifications and determine, using applicable engineering software, the beam requirements for your specific project. All beams will come with an engineered beam drawing stating design loads and spans as well as required support bearings and multi-ply nail patterns.

JAG Roof Trusses is a supplier of both:

MetsaWood Master Plank LVL (sourced through Mitek Canada) and

LP SolidStart LVL (sourced through Taiga Building Products).
